As a member of the African Development Bank (AfDB) “Special Panel on Accelerating the Implementation of the Bank’s Ten Year Strategy”, Serageldin joined a meeting of the Panel held in Abidjan today. The Panel was convened to assist the Bank and provide recommendations on how to implement the High 5 Priorities. It iwas co-chaired by Kofi Annan, former Secretary-General of the United Nations and Nobel Laureate, and Horst Kohler, Former President of Germany. The panel meets to discuss and guide the Bank on issues in areas including: political will and political economy reform. The Panel will also meet with the members of the Board of Directors of the AfDB for a dialogue and open discussion on the Panel’s work.
