Putting diversity to work at the World Economic Forum on the Middle East
Dead Sea, 20 May 2007  -- Business leaders and policy makers gathered at the World Economic Forum to address the importance of social and political diversity and economic diversification in the region. The theme of this year''s World Economic Forum on the Middle East, Putting Diversity to Work, spotlights efforts to accelerate economic diversification, while emphasizing the urgency of promoting peace and understanding in a region of great religious and ethnic diversity. In a session on logic and learning, Ismail Serageldin spoke about how Arab heritage, religion and science have played a prominent role in the development of the culture of the Arab world.
