Serageldin presents science in Egypt from Imhotep to Zewail
Alexandria, 04 December 2006  -- Ismail Serageldin delivered a lucid presentation on science in Egypt at the opening session of the InterAcademy Panel conference themed ''The Unity of Science'' hosted at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Throughout the presentation, Serageldin reviewed the history of science in Egypt with reference to the status of the world at particular points in time, beginning with Imhotep, the first architect and physician known by name in written history and ending with Ahmed Zewail, Egyptian born Nobel laureate
