On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Global Water Partnership (GWP), Ismail Serageldin was honored for being a Founder and the first GWP Chairman since its foundation in 1996. Serageldin delivered a speech that outlined the world's water problems and the achievements of the GWP. The Global Water Partnership is a working partnership of all those involved in water management. The mission of the GWP is to support countries in the sustainable management of their water resources.
