The
legendary Herbie Hancock and the Thelonios Monk Institute Jazz Ambassadors
came to the Conference Center of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina for a Jazz concert.
The riffs were spectacular, and the audience filling the 1200 seat auditorium
enjoyed every minute of it. Accompanying superb vocalist Vanessa Rubin, and
allowing the young players maximum exposure, the legendary musician brought
the house to its feet in a standing ovation with an updated rendition of
the classical watermelon man... great art truly crosses cultures.
